ZWO 2" Filter Drawer (M42)

Solid all metal design, drawer has a very small amount of play when seated. I would recomend getting a second filter mount so when you want to use different filter or none at all you don't have to unscrew the filter as this can be quite a pain. Not sure if you can purchase that separately.

This filter drawer is great! Enables easy filter changes during an image session for OSC or using a filter wheel. This Simplifies and enables the use of both 2” and 1.25” (with adapter on all equipment. Spacing is non easy of course for ZWO Cameras Spare Trays make switching filters easy & quick. All metal very nice and fits my 2 inch filter perfectly. I like how it kind of locks in place when you push it in and you don’t necessarily have to tighten the knob

Bought this to add to the SpaceCat - DSLR combo I'm using. It's hard to get good focus with something like an HA filter or even a try-band filter screwed into the SpaceCat. Just not enough light gets through in Live Mode and it is a slow and tedious and error prone process to remove the filter, focus, and then put the filter back. I wanted to swap in a simple LP filter for focus and then put in my imaging filter. But the filter drawer, though it's only a few mm wide, pushes the DSLR back far enough it can't achieve focus. I need an adapter of some sort to deal with this. Still looking. The focus is fine with non-DSLR cameras. So take this as a newbie gotcha. Starizona seems to offer an option to remove the tilt plate on the Space Cat and connect the filter drawer closer to the scope. Will try that next.
